Re: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3

Just completed the main story. Is it worth jumping straight into the higher difficulty replay for better ISO / XP, and does progress stick a la NG+ e.g. keeping character and alliance progressions and unlocks, and unlocked rifts? Also with the released DLC is there much additional story content, and...

Re: The Mutant Registration Act (debate)

Wow. I disappear and you guys write all of this. Can I just say how wonderfully eloquent you all are. This has been really interesting for me to read and it was nice to see a range of different ideas. It's such a difficult topic to broach just because the mere idea of a little reprehensible and we'...

Re: X-Men Editorial Draft 2.0

Have you considered the reverse effect? ;) If you post some bits now and another poster picks up on who you might be going after, they might stay clear from this character and leave them for you, especially if it's someone not integral to their story. :P Nah, because you're all heartless bastards :...

Ahh right, me not reading clear instructions again

I'll hold mine off to my next pick then! Leverage whatever possible advantage I can get from the secrecy

Re: X-Men Editorial Draft 2.0

I'm confused - are we meant to be issuing our splits now? I thought we gave our roster splits when we got to our next draft pick.

Re: Times Are A'changin'

I guess it was the slight weirdness of him knowing her since she was a child, and he was her 'father figure' as well as teacher - it felt very odd to me for him to be having such thoughts, and yet he still kept her under his roof, under his sole tutelage, and often keeping things between themselves ...

Re: Times Are A'changin'

Prof X's infatuation with Jean...in today's culture, this would be a serious no-go that a primary carer of a student teen living in his private residence has a thing for his student.

I tend to refer to it more as the Chelsea smile, it's the more common name for it down south.

Re: Random Thoughts

I got nine, but also tried this after a good few pints so my reaction times are a bit slower/ less coherant than usual. (Normally you can interrupt on Mastermind - it's a bit weird as a pass is penalised worse than an incorrect answer, so if you deliberately give an incorrect answer you can do bette...

Re: Marvel Introduces a new British Team of heroes during Empyre

True, but it'd be soooooo good though. :D

I also realise most non-British posters on here would have no idea on what Buckie is, nor who Rab is either. I guess the phrase Glasgow Kiss is fairly well known though, right??

Re: Marvel Introduces a new British Team of heroes during Empyre

I don't mind the political aspects as long as it is handled sensitively. For all the talk of the end of the Troubles, it was only this week where police have warned of a potential bombing by dissident Republicans. The nationality aspect is more annoying from a crude national stereotyping perspectiv...

Re: X-Men Editorial Draft 2.0

There's at least two picks I'm considering for this draft that I would NEVER normally pick...they'd both be given new names + looks, of course, but I would pick them, and that's something, right?

Re: Marvel Introduces a new British Team of heroes during Empyre

So as a Brit, I should love this right? Nope... seriously, did every character have to have a national tie-in? Also, the medieval theming of the characters feels a bit Knights of Pendragon for me. With an array of great British characters that don't have "Country of Origin" stamped on their costume,...

Re: The Mutant Registration Act (debate)

What if mutants registered other mutants? That would work and be perfect for Krakoa as they would then be able to both train and protect mutants from themselves. I think they do with Cerebro. If there are (legitimate) concerns re: privacy of the individual, isn't this as much of an issue? I mean I ...

Re: X-Men Editorial Draft 2.0

At one point I was seriously going to go for super-bawdy in terms of getting Stacy X(and others) and have lots of my theme based puns... it'd be a bit Sid James / Carry On... but I'm glad I've decided against it.

It's not needed either, with Aeon around ;)

Re: X-FACTOR by Leah Williams and David Baldéon

I’m trying to see the big issue with David’s costume...it’s white pants and a high-collar yellow coat... Whilst I would never profess to being a sartorial intellectual, in fact far from it as a jeans and comics/band tee kinda guy, but for me it's the cut of both that's an issue for me. With the Sim...

Great shot of Kurt, Token. Indicative of your theme, perhaps?
