Re: Random Thoughts
So do any of my American friends like Girl Scout cookies? My daughter is selling them virtually and I can DM you a link if you’re interested.

Re: WandaVision, season 1.
I know the pacing is the main point of contention but I actually wish it was even slower. I would like hour episodes with more sitcom, and the creepy elements threaded throughout. The idea of the "idyllic life" being what sitcoms portray throughout the decades (and what the foreign Wanda's idea of ...

Re: Avengers #41
The whole run has been hit or miss for me, that said I thought this issue was ok. But "Carol broods to hide her laughter" what is this supposed to mean? That Carol finds the fight funny? Those explanations weren’t about the specific fight but their overall personality...which I think fits Carol. Sh...

Re: Re: Random Thoughts
They bring different things though (although I agree). Legends brings the fun and friend in a totally sincere way (it’s the Community of superhero action shows). Doom Patrol is very bizarre but fun. And Titans is gritty and much more action oriented.

Re: Re: Random Thoughts
Gotcha, I guess I never watched a show that actually used it until Arrow. And then I started noticing it a lot on "lower brow" shows. It’s an “easy” way to make drama. It’s not usually as telegraphed as on Arrow but I mean PLL, Fosters, Switched at Birth, etc all follow that general flow... Just li...

Re: Re: Random Thoughts
I liked Arrow too, but after awhile I saw through it's gimmick, and then I noticed it's one that gets used a lot, not only on Berlanti's other CW DC shows, but on a lot of modern shows all over tv right now. 1) Introduce a bunch of characters who ostensibly should like each other or want to work to...

Re: Avengers #41
You listed every reason why I have enjoyed this run...and it feels very much like classic Stern like Avengers more than Hickman’s run (which I did love fyi).

Re: X-Force #16
Im surprised Beast hasn't suggested they use mutants outside X-Force and then just mindwipe or even kill and resurrect them after the specific mission. Maybe he does have some moral standards still lol I didn’t want to say it but that was a thought I had...like thr criminally underrated Secret Aven...

Re: WandaVision, season 1.
Yeah I actually didn’t realize how spoiled I got from Netflix series having irregular time lengths until now...even episodes of Search Party are longer than these episodes.

Re: X-Force #16
Agree that this was (on its own terms) one of the better X-Force issues, but also agree that's not saying much. And unfortunately that spectre of incompetence did rear its head a bit near the end... not as badly as other times, but "biting off more than they can chew" is NOT something your intellig...

Re: X-Force #16
Maybe I misread it but wasn’t that what they were doing? Investigating the scene? It was a seek and destroy mission. Reyes and Beast did the sciencing, the info page pointed out that they have investigated the island and now The trio of dudes were going down to investigate and stop any threat to the...

Re: X-Force #16
This seemed like the first time the team actually investigated and dealt with a situation in a progressive manner. I appreciated that the team felt competent, even if they encountered something that was beyond what the three of them could handle. Yeah it was the first procedural story...like mutant...

Re: Cable #7
I wouldn’t go any where near saying it’s near the top (and Brisson’s version of Kable actually felt more like the age and experience I expect, same with Ewing’s SWOrD, here he feels too young to me) but the book isn’t terrible. And I do enjoy just seeing Cyke and Jean and Rachel in a happier domesti...

Re: X-Force #16
I read this mission very differently. X-Force was, on the surface, actually really effective with dealing with the threat. And then with a small team they ventured to a pretty hostile environment (but very well equipped) and were on a search and destroy mission. Now I concede they looked like they m...

Re: Way of X
Reincarnation is about not actually “dying”, resurrection protocols is about not actually “dying”...I mean I don’t know how else to point out the similarities. And that’s just a very broad description of both...in Hinduism there’s a lot of complexity to reincarnation. Well when you get reincarnated...

I think it’s impossible to say that Phase 1 wasn’t way more Ultimates than 616...but as they progressed to Phase 3, a shift occurred.

Re: Way of X
Not every religion has an afterlife...
Matter of fact, resurrection protocols can be compared to the reincarnation cycle of some religions.
