Re: Falcon and the Winter Soldier
When the Flagsmasher threw a knife at John, into the pillar, my cat - who was sleeping in my lap - jumped. My wife and I had to pause the show for like a minute we laughed so hard.

Re: X-Men Legends #2
I'm glad that Nicieza finally got a chance to tell his Adam-X story. I'm glad that the Summers continuity is now cleared up on this point. But - I also don't care. Reading these two issues, the story is fine, I don't like Nicieza's Havok at all, and the artwork - especially in issue 2 - somehow felt...

Re: So You Think You Can Retcon
Well actually that would be difficult to pull of as i understand it Atlantis was sunk in about 10000BC, Selene was born before after this event we see her being born in Necrosha post Atlantis and Apocalypse is 5000 years old. The Atlanteans are mutated humans who evolved under the sea This is why I...

Re: So You Think You Can Retcon
I had a fanfic planned retcon for the Ancient History of Mutants before Hickman did it that would've combined several areas of the Marvel U. The basic idea is that, in pre-history, Atlantis was a city-state out in the Atlantic that was was a safe haven for mutants. We (probably) would have followed ...

Re: Wolverine: Black, White, and Blood #3
I've specifically been picking it up because of the artwork and it haven't been disappointed by it in that arena yet. I think that Bachalo's artwork is perhaps the worst I've seen so far, and that's just in terms of legibility. I couldn't tell what was happening in so many of those panels, they just...

Re: X-Corp is Here and It’s by Howard!!!!
As a long time Archangel fan, I can only hope that he's an actual character in this and he isn't just going to go back and forth between "I'm good Angel! Oh no, I'm bad Archangel!" every month. Definitely not too keen on Howard as the author myself, but I love these two characters and the concept, s...

Re: WandaVision, season 1.
My personal theory is that "Pietro" ISN'T Pietro from the Fox Movies. We're told that everything and everyone in WandaVision - so far - are real people and actual things in the MCU, just recast by whatever it is that the hex does. Whoever is manipulating Wanda picked up on the idea that Wanda misse...

Re: Avengers #41
I have to agree with the naysayers - this run has had SO many good ideas that just haven't gone anywhere and I'm feeling lost. Like, Aaron has so many potential threats waiting in the wings that I just don't give a floop about this tournament. I love the weird potential characters, but none of them ...

Printing error in Mosaic 8?
I've been putting together a big collection of the Inhumans books from the big push a few years back and I'm ALMOST done with Mosaic - I only need issue 7 left - but my copy of issue 8 has a huge misprint. The middle portion of the book is from some Guardians of the Galaxy related story. Did anyone ...

Wow, Booth is really Jim Lee-ing it up on these pages. That panel of Gladiator looks like a page from Uncanny 275 to me, damn.

As somone who's been loving Ewing's writing and Schiti's artwork since I first encountered them, this was great. It was fun, it was filled with continuity nods and character moments, it has this HUGE scope to it, and everything just promises MORE. Given that Cortez didn't really interact with Magnet...

Re: X of Swords Destruction (X of Swords Part 22)
Oh, also, for those of you who aren’t British, swans are the royal bird— it’s illegal for anyone to kill or hunt a swan in the UK unless you’re the queen, and knowing Howard’s love for dropping random details that then turn out to be hints, I’m going to visit the land of hot takes and state that I ...

Re: X of Swords Destruction (X of Swords Part 22)
Read the final six issues on Thanksgiving (that morning) and just re-read the final two parts - and I loved it all. ALL of it. All day at work my mind has been rolling the event over, examining it, and I definitely think that there are some bits of story structure that are probably weird, but I'd ha...

Given the other collabs that Hasbro has been doing, and the Blackbird in that image, I'm gonna guess that we'll see a Transformable Blackbird. Could be neat.

Re: Wolverine #7 (X of Swords Part 16)
I think a lot of the complaining that I'm seeing here is based around the Swords event not giving it's audience what they thought this was going to be - Krakoa VS Arrako, a standard tournament arc wherein each side does combat, someone loses and or dies, and the fights are the most interesting part...

I KNEW I'D REGRET NOT BUYING CAPTAIN MARVEL: THE END, I JUST KNEW IT. *opens new tab for ebay*
The Enchantress is an interesting choice for Ove - I just noticed her classic "yellow circles up the leg" design element.

I thought that the Mercator date page was a VERY bold reveal of Mr. M's location - his full name being Absolon Mercator after all. Plus, previous data pages have listed him as Location Unknown. Was it just me? I tend to agree with the general consensus that I didn't like two issues for one sword, bu...

I actually TOTALLY forgot that Sinister isn't a natural mutant. Wow.norwichchris wrote: ↑24 Aug 2020, 10:59Mr Sinister technically is't a mutant but he is allowed on Krakoa he artificially inserted his mutant gene and is more of an advanced human.

Re: X of Swords
@norwichchris - Ozymandis isn't a mutant, so he shouldn't be able to enter Krakoa. Nephri would be a VERY interesting callback. This feels like "new" to me, and not "old with a modern spin on it" though. My personal thought is that this character is Apocalypse's ex-wife/lover from thousands of years...
